TIGER TORCH

Tiger Torch is a named torch coral for an aquarium with room around a long, flowing polyp. Its expanded tentacles need an unobstructed envelope of water, with the skeleton securely supported and neighbouring coral tissue kept outside its reach.

Moderate lighting after acclimation and indirect, variable flow provide a useful starting point. Look for movement that lets tentacles sway rather than driving them onto the skeleton. Keep conditions consistent and assess the animal's response before increasing light intensity.

Small meaty marine foods or suitable fine coral foods can supplement photosynthesis. Offer modest amounts that the polyp can retain. Torches can be aggressive, so allow generous separation and revisit placement as they expand. The Tiger trade name does not change those care needs or make contact with another torch automatically safe.
