HOLY GRAIL TORCH ( BORNEO )

Holy Grail Torch is a long-tentacled stony coral listed with the Borneo designation. Its polyp requires space to expand in every direction, so position the base where moving tentacles stay clear of neighbouring colonies and surrounding rock.

Start in moderate light with gradual acclimation. Give it indirect, changing circulation that makes the tentacles sway without folding the flesh over the skeletal rim. Consistent alkalinity, calcium and overall reef conditions are important for sustained tissue coverage and growth.

Offer appropriately small marine foods as a supplement to photosynthesis, watching for capture before feeding more. This coral is aggressive toward neighbours, including other corals commonly grouped with Euphyllia. Keep it separated from hammers and frogspawn and inspect its reach after dark rather than assuming daytime spacing is sufficient.
