Yellow Chromis

The Yellow Chromis, Chromis analis, is also known as the Yellow Puller. Yellow tones cover much of the body, although some individuals have paler fins or a greyer cast. It is a more substantial chromis than a tiny juvenile appearance might suggest.

Provide an established aquarium with swimming space, good water movement and rockwork for resting. Calm companions should leave the fish able to feed in open water. If keeping several chromis, monitor each individual's condition and access to shelter instead of assuming that a group will remain evenly matched.

Offer small marine meaty foods and suitable omnivore preparations in several daily portions. This water-column feeder benefits from food carried through its swimming area, but persistent leftovers indicate a need to adjust portions and maintain water quality.
