White Spotted Anemone Shrimp

The White Spotted Anemone Shrimp has a largely transparent body broken by opaque white patches. It often remains close to a host anemone, where its shape and markings make it surprisingly difficult to distinguish among the tentacles.

Plan for an appropriate host environment and nearby rock crevices, while evaluating the anemone's own care needs separately. The shrimp needs a protected place during molts and should not be forced directly into an unfamiliar host. A quiet aquarium makes its feeding and behavior easier to monitor.

Offer tiny portions of marine meaty food even when the shrimp shares an anemone's feeding area. Large predatory fish and aggressive crustaceans may still threaten it. Keep conditions stable and avoid assuming that the word anemone makes every shrimp, clownfish, and host combination compatible.
