White Porcelain Crab

The White Porcelain Crab is a delicate-looking marine crustacean with flattened claws and fine feeding fans. Those fans gather suspended particles, making it quite different from a crab selected mainly to graze algae.

Provide sheltered rockwork and a passing current that delivers suitable fine foods. Offer appropriately sized planktonic preparations and small food particles, checking that feeding can occur without interference from faster tankmates. Do not rely on a clean reef's occasional fish leftovers as the complete diet.

White porcelain types are often associated with anemones, where territorial clownfish may compete with them for space. An association should be observed rather than forced. Keep the crab away from crustacean predators, allow undisturbed molting shelter, and maintain stable marine water conditions to support normal feeding and activity.
