White Cerith Snail

The White Cerith Snail has the slender, elongated shell form associated with cerith grazers. It searches across accessible surfaces and substrate, often becoming easier to spot when aquarium lighting is reduced.

Provide an established marine habitat with film growth and organic material to graze. Ceriths can work into small spaces, but they do not remove every type of algae and should not be stocked beyond the food available. Observe the snail's route and feeding activity as the aquarium becomes cleaner.

A sand area and stable rockwork give it varied places to explore. Keep salinity steady and avoid tankmates that hunt small snails or take occupied shells. The white common-name descriptor does not establish a particular adult size, so assess the individual alongside the aquarium's existing grazers.
