Walindi Fairy Wrasse

The Walindi Fairy Wrasse, Cirrhilabrus walindi, shows red and pink colouring above a paler underside. Markings and intensity change with maturity and sex, so a single adult photograph cannot describe every individual.

Arrange rockwork with several cracks and caves for sleeping and retreat while leaving open water for active swimming. Cover the aquarium carefully, including equipment openings, because fairy wrasses are capable jumpers. Assess other wrasses individually; shared family membership does not ensure an uncomplicated introduction.

Offer a varied marine diet with appropriately sized meaty foods and suitable prepared rations. Watch that the fish joins feeding time instead of remaining displaced in shelter. A calm introduction and dependable access to food help this small wrasse establish itself within a community.
