Ultra Orange & Green Tube Anemone

The Ultra Orange & Green Tube Anemone extends a ring of long feeding tentacles from a protective tube in the substrate. Tube anemones are distinct from the familiar clownfish-hosting sea anemones, and their care should be planned around feeding and burrowing space.

Provide a soft, sufficiently deep sand area where the tube can remain protected. Leave generous clearance around the expanded tentacles and position the animal where it can be fed without repeatedly disturbing the tube. It may remain closed in brighter hours until settled.

This is a non-photosynthetic animal: stronger reef lighting cannot replace regular meals. Offer appropriately small meaty frozen foods and zooplankton when the tentacles are open. Account for its sting when placing corals and choosing small tankmates, and avoid direct pump suction or abrasive placement.
