Two Spot Goby

The Two Spot Goby (Signigobius biocellatus) is a sand-associated fish with two conspicuous eyespots on its upright dorsal fins. It spends much of its activity searching the substrate for food, making feeding habitat central to its care.

Choose an established aquarium with mature sand, protected retreats and peaceful companions. Sand movement alone cannot show whether enough tiny prey is available. Keeping two requires confirmed compatibility; separately sold gobies are not automatically a bonded pair.

Offer suitably tiny marine animal foods near the bottom and verify actual consumption. A productive refugium may help support live prey, but it does not replace regular checks of intake and body condition. This is a deliberate livestock choice that needs a feeding plan, rather than a quick answer to untidy sand.
