Fine sand needs thoughtful pump placement. Redirect flow that creates drifting piles or exposed patches, and match the grade to the needs of burrowing livestock.

Prepare the substrate according to the bag and introduce it gently, particularly around established animals. Keep rock structures independently supported and allow access for maintenance. Monitor settling and water conditions after installation; a clean appearance does not indicate that a sand bed is biologically mature.
