Six-Lined Wrasses

The Six-Lined Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) is a compact reef forager with contrasting horizontal stripes. It searches rock surfaces and crevices for small animal prey, often remaining closely associated with the reef structure.

Provide abundant hiding spaces and mature rockwork. Despite its small size, it can intimidate peaceful wrasses and other timid fish. Consider that territorial behaviour when adding it to a community or introducing new fish after it has established itself.

Feed finely sized marine meaty foods and suitable frozen preparations. Its interest in unwanted worms or small snails is part of a wider predatory diet, not a controlled pest-removal service. It still needs regular nutrition and a compatibility assessment that includes desirable small invertebrates.
