Rusty Angelfish

The Rusty Angelfish has a warm red-brown body with dark spotting and blue edging on its fins. It is a dwarf angelfish that spends much of its activity around reef surfaces and shelter.

Provide an established aquarium with generous mature rockwork for grazing and retreat. Another dwarf angelfish can become a territorial competitor. It may nip soft or stony corals and clam mantles, so reef compatibility must be assessed against the actual invertebrate collection.

Feed marine algae, suitable angelfish preparations and varied small meaty foods such as mysis. Natural grazing supplements this routine but does not make regular feeding optional. Observe both food acceptance and behaviour around corals as the fish settles into its territory.
