Red Striped Goby

The Red Striped Goby is a very small reef goby with red bars on a pale body and noticeable golden edging around the eyes. Its compact size favours an aquarium where the keeper can observe feeding without larger fish dominating the scene.

Build many small hiding spaces into mature rockwork. Choose peaceful companions that cannot swallow it, and consider predatory invertebrates as well as fish. A group needs enough separate cover to let individuals retreat when necessary.

Provide tiny portions of suitable frozen marine foods and finely prepared seafood. This fish should receive direct feeding opportunities instead of depending on scraps drifting through a busy display. Confirm that the food size is appropriate and that quieter individuals actually reach the meal.
