Red Lobo is a fleshy Lobophyllia-type LPS coral. Its broad tissue can make an effective focal point in a reef, provided the surrounding space allows normal expansion.
Avoid placing it directly in a strong pump stream. Use a lower-light location with sufficient movement to carry away waste, and acclimate before considering a brighter position.
Small meaty foods can supplement its photosynthetic nutrition. Protect neighbouring corals from contact and potential nighttime aggression, and support skeletal growth with stable calcium and alkalinity. Check the individual colony's footprint when planning its permanent location.
