Rainbow Lobo is a Lobophyllia-type brain coral with fleshy lobes over a substantial stony skeleton. Its open tissue needs more space than the skeleton alone, so position it securely where neither rock edges nor neighbouring coral tentacles can rub against the expanded lobes.

Moderate light and indirect, moderate circulation are sensible starting conditions. Avoid a strong jet that forces the flesh against the skeleton, since that can lead to tissue injury. Make lighting adjustments gradually and keep the colony's surroundings free of accumulating sediment.

Offer small meaty marine foods to supplement photosynthesis, matching portions to what each mouth can swallow. Leave generous separation from other corals and check after dark: Lobophyllia can extend sweeper tentacles. Handle the base carefully and avoid squeezing the tissue when placing or moving it.
