Pink Tailed Trigger

The Pink Tailed Trigger is recognisable by its pink tail contrasting with a darker greenish body. Yellow accents can appear around the face and pectoral fins, while the robust head reflects its powerful feeding equipment.

A large aquarium with open swimming space and stable caves suits this triggerfish. Review the whole livestock list before introduction: small fish and crustaceans can be eaten, even when a trigger spends much of the day swimming peacefully.

Supply a varied marine carnivore menu, including appropriate shrimp, clam and squid portions. Hard-shelled foods help provide tooth wear as well as nutrition. A reef label should never override the specific risk to shrimp, crabs or fish small enough to become prey.
