Pink Spotted Watchman Goby

The Pink Spotted Watchman Goby has a tan to yellowish body decorated with pink and blue spotting. It is a bottom-oriented fish that uses a burrow and nearby shelter as the centre of its territory.

Provide sand, loose rubble and securely positioned rocks that will not shift as the fish digs. Seal openings in the aquarium cover, since watchman gobies can jump. Similar gobies may be challenged; two fish offered individually should not be assumed to form a compatible pair.

Feed a range of small marine carnivore foods, including mysis and finely sized shrimp preparations. Direct some food toward the bottom so the goby can eat without leaving cover for long. Observe both body condition and feeding access when other bottom dwellers share the aquarium.
