Pandora Zoa Frag

Pandora Zoa Frag is a colonial polyp coral that can gradually cover its mounting surface. Its appearance can change under different aquarium lighting, so allow time for acclimation before judging colour or trying to intensify it with a stronger light setting.

Place the frag where indirect water movement keeps the spaces between polyps free of debris. Begin with lower light and make subsequent changes slowly. The colony is photosynthetic, with optional fine planktonic foods providing supplementary nutrition when captured; excess food settling on closed polyps is unhelpful.

Leave a visible boundary between the growing mat and nearby corals. For maintenance, wear gloves and eye protection and avoid damaging tissue unnecessarily. Zoanthids may contain palytoxin, so never boil their rock, scrub them into a spray or handle them near your eyes or mouth.
