Pacific Exquisite Fairy Wrasse

The Pacific Exquisite Fairy Wrasse is a colourful open-water reef fish whose markings vary with maturity, mood and regional form. Greens and reds are common features, but the listing name alone does not establish a particular adult pattern or sex.

Provide a shaded retreat within the rockwork together with enough clear water for active swimming. A secure aquarium cover is particularly important for fairy wrasses, which can jump through small openings when startled.

Use a varied menu of small meaty foods, including frozen mysis and enriched brine shrimp, with suitable marine pellets or flakes as accepted. Check feeding access during the settling-in period and avoid a layout where a timid fish must pass a territorial tankmate every time it leaves shelter.
