Orange Line Chromis

Orange Line Chromis change noticeably as they grow. Juveniles show a blue body with an orange line along the side; older fish can become browner with a pale tail. Choose this fish with its mature appearance in mind.

An established marine aquarium should provide both open water and shelter among the rockwork. A group display requires enough space to monitor individual fish and feeding access; the appearance of schooling behaviour is not a reason to crowd a small tank.

Feed a mixed diet of small meaty foods and suitable herbivore or omnivore preparations. Watch that quieter individuals receive food rather than judging the group's intake from the most active fish. Reliable water quality and a varied feeding routine matter more than maintaining juvenile colour.
