Nirvana Zoa Frag

Nirvana Zoa Frag can develop into a close-set colony of polyps on the reef structure. Mounting it on a separate, removable piece of rock makes it easier to manage its spread and to change its position if neighbouring colonies begin to shade it.

Provide circulation that keeps the mat clear of detritus, with enough shelter that a new frag stays firmly attached. Lower initial lighting followed by gradual adjustment is preferable to sudden bright exposure. Photosynthetic nutrition is central to zoanthid care; fine coral foods are an optional supplement when the polyps visibly capture them.

Handle this colony with gloves and eye protection. Zoanthids can contain palytoxin, including forms sold under familiar trade names. Avoid crushing tissue or making a spray during cleaning, and never apply heat or boiling water to their rock.
