Neon Green Cabbage Coral

Neon Green Cabbage Coral is a leather coral whose folded growth form can add broad, leaf-like texture to a reef. Give those folds room to expand and avoid wedging the coral into a tight crevice where water cannot move around its base.

Moderate light is a useful starting point, with circulation that washes across the colony and keeps settled material moving. Cabbage-type leathers rely heavily on photosynthesis and may capture very small suspended foods, so large meaty target feedings are unnecessary.

Leather corals sometimes contract and develop a surface film before shedding it. Maintain good surrounding flow rather than peeling the film by hand. In a mixed reef, leave space from sensitive stony corals and maintain effective filtration: leather corals can affect neighbours chemically even when their tissues do not touch.
