The keyhole angelfish, Centropyge tibicen, has a dark body interrupted by a prominent pale patch, with yellow around the lower fins. It is a relatively substantial dwarf angelfish that benefits from an aquarium designed around active browsing and territorial boundaries.

Provide established rock surfaces, caves and room to move between them. Use a varied feeding routine that includes algae-based marine foods, angelfish preparations and small meaty items. Natural growth on the rocks should support, rather than replace, food supplied by the aquarist.

Corals and other invertebrates may be nipped. Other dwarf angels, especially similarly shaped fish, can also be challenged around shelter. Consider how the entire community uses the rockwork and retain a way to separate residents if persistent aggression or damaging picking occurs.
