Grey Carpet Shark (30”)

Grey carpet shark is another common name for the brownbanded bamboo shark, Chiloscyllium punctatum. Its bold juvenile bands fade with age. The catalog's 30-inch label should be checked against the available animal when planning transport and its permanent home. The species can reach about 105 cm in total length, so the listed size is not a permanent adult limit.

This nocturnal shark hunts bottom-dwelling animals, including small fish and crustaceans. Supply suitable marine meaty foods and observe feeding when the shark is active. A broad sandy floor, secure shelter and ample turning room matter more than an aquarium's height alone.

Small residents can become prey, while persistent or nipping companions may disturb a resting shark. A dedicated system needs filtration capable of handling substantial meals and a treatment plan suitable for sharks. Review the complete adult setup before purchase, even if the fish fits its proposed home today.
