Gatorade Zoa Frag

Gatorade Zoa Frag is a colony-building zoanthid for a dedicated polyp patch. Allow room around the mounting surface: as new polyps develop, a colony can cross onto neighbouring rocks and compete with smaller or slower-growing corals.

Good placement combines gradual light acclimation with water movement that clears trapped particles. Avoid a stagnant recess where detritus collects, while keeping a freshly fixed frag out of a direct pump jet. Zoanthids gain energy from their symbiotic algae and may accept fine suspended foods; feeding is supplementary and should not coat the mat with leftovers.

Maintenance needs care because some zoanthids carry palytoxin. Use gloves and eye protection, avoid contact with damaged tissue, and keep splashes away from your face. Never boil or heat colonised rock or scrub it in a way that disperses tissue into the air.
