Evansi Anthias

Evansi anthias, Mirolabrichthys evansi, bring pink-purple tones with a contrasting yellow back and tail to the water column. Their feeding requirements and sensitivity during settling make preparation more important than simply adding another colourful fish to a reef.

Use an established aquarium with open feeding space and several protected retreats. Offer suitably small marine meaty foods in multiple meals, confirming that each fish actually feeds. Plan nutrient export around that schedule instead of cutting meals back to fit an aquarium already struggling with waste.

Tankmates should allow these anthias to reach food without persistent chasing. A group needs enough room for its hierarchy, and an individual remaining hidden deserves close attention. Cover the aquarium securely and confirm the current stock's accepted foods before deciding whether the species fits your care routine.
