Eibli Angelfish

Eibli angelfish, Centropyge eibli, are dwarf angels with fine orange-red bars, a pale body and a dark tail edged in blue. Their active browsing makes mature rockwork and a varied diet important parts of the aquarium setup.

Arrange caves and grazing surfaces with routes between them. Feed algae-based preparations, suitable angelfish foods and small marine meaty items. Several modest meals can support a fish that naturally searches for food through the day, while observation confirms it is eating after introduction.

Corals and other attached invertebrates may be nipped. Similar dwarf angelfish can also trigger territorial disputes, particularly around a favoured shelter. Consider the whole reef collection before purchase and retain a practical way to separate fish if persistent chasing or damaging picking develops.
