Eagle Eye Zoa Frag

Eagle Eye Zoa Frag is a mat-forming polyp coral that can provide a low-growing foreground colony. An accessible rock surface lets you observe both polyp extension and the expanding edge, helping prevent it from overtaking adjacent frags as it establishes.

A range of reef lighting can work after gradual acclimation. Begin with reduced exposure and use steady, indirect circulation to keep waste from lodging between polyps. Light supports its symbiotic algae; fine planktonic foods may supplement this, but feeding response varies and heavy additions can leave unwanted debris.

Avoid repeatedly touching closed polyps during maintenance. Use gloves and eye protection when handling the frag and treat it as potentially containing palytoxin. Do not scrub the colony into a mist, and never boil or heat rock with zoanthid tissue attached.
