The Donald Duck Shrimp is known for a long, bill-like rostrum and a slender body bent at the abdomen. Its unusual outline and fine appendages blend into sheltered reef structure, rewarding a close look around the rockwork.

Offer protected retreats and peaceful companions that will not swallow or harass a small ornamental shrimp. Suitable small marine meaty foods, including finely divided mysis or chopped seafood, should reach its resting area. Check actual feeding rather than assuming that enough leftovers settle into the crevices.

Provide stable water conditions and undisturbed shelter during molting. Avoid copper-based treatments and rough handling of the delicate legs and antennae. This shrimp is best selected for its distinctive behavior and appearance in a carefully stocked display, with food delivered in a form it can readily manage.
