Dispar Anthias

Dispar anthias, Nemanthias dispar, are active water-column feeders with peach, pink and yellow tones. Their colours vary with sex and maturity, so confirm the actual individual rather than treating a listing image as a guaranteed adult appearance.

Provide open water for feeding above an established rock structure containing retreats. Several small meals of suitable marine meaty foods suit their feeding habits better than relying on a single large portion. Plan the feeding routine and nutrient management together before adding anthias to the aquarium.

A group needs sufficient room and observation of its hierarchy; fish hiding persistently may be losing access to meals. Choose companions that do not dominate feeding or repeatedly drive anthias into cover. Secure the lid because these active fish can jump, particularly during disturbance.
