Crowned Turbo Snail

The Crowned Turbo Snail is a substantial grazer with a sculptured turban-shaped shell. It works primarily on hard surfaces, making established live rock and aquarium glass its main feeding territory.

Provide accessible hair and film algae, with marine seaweed offered when natural growth becomes insufficient. Crowned turbos may also graze some larger algae, so consider ornamental macroalgae before adding one to a planted marine display. No snail can be expected to consume every unwanted growth in an aquarium.

Secure loose coral frags and small rocks along its likely route. The snail's size and strength can dislodge objects even while it is simply feeding. Stock according to the available grazing area, maintain stable marine conditions, and check that food remains available after the first visible algae has been reduced.
