Coco Worm Red Lg

The Red Coco Worm adds a pair of colorful feeding plumes above its rigid tube. It is a marine suspension feeder, using those fine branches to capture tiny food particles while most of its body stays concealed.

A protected position with gentle to moderate current allows food to reach the crown without forcing it to remain retracted. Leave the opening unobstructed and handle the tube without crushing it. Coco worms require planned feeding with suitable planktonic foods; bright reef lighting alone cannot sustain them.

Keep calcium and alkalinity stable and choose tankmates that leave tube worms undisturbed. Repeated crown loss or persistent withdrawal warrants a review of food delivery, water conditions and harassment. This is a specialist feeding commitment even when the surrounding reef otherwise appears healthy.
