Cats Eye Turbo Snail

The Cats Eye Turbo Snail is a hard-surface grazer suited to an aquarium with established algae on live rock and glass. It spends its time moving between feeding areas and sheltered spaces, bringing a different shell shape to a mixed group of marine snails.

Choose the number of snails according to available grazing, not simply aquarium volume. When algae becomes limited, provide dried marine seaweed where the snail can reach it. A clean-looking aquarium can still be short of food for an active grazer.

Leave room to travel through the rockwork and maintain calcium and other water chemistry needed for shell growth. Consistent salinity supports acclimation and long-term care. Avoid copper-based medications and aggressive animals that attack snails; a hard shell does not make the animal invulnerable.
