Carpenters Flasher Wrasse

Carpenter's flasher wrasse, Paracheilinus carpenteri, is an active marine fish whose display colours can intensify during social interactions. Males and females differ in appearance, so the listing does not establish a particular sex, fin development or display state.

Leave open swimming space above rockwork containing several small retreats. Feed varied marine meaty foods and appropriately sized prepared diets that the wrasse can capture in the water. Make sure it is able to feed without continual interference from larger residents.

They often suit a thoughtfully stocked community, but combining wrasses still requires attention to territorial behaviour.
