Brown Coral Goby

Brown Coral Goby is best approached as a small coral-associated perch-dweller. Provide an established aquarium with branching shelter and sheltered rockwork where it can remain close to cover. Its quiet way of occupying a perch makes feeding access more important than open-water swimming activity.

Offer suitably small marine meaty foods several times through the day and watch the goby take them. If larger fish intercept every portion, deliver food nearer its perch. Newly introduced coral gobies may need additional attention or suitable live food while they settle.

Choose gentle tankmates and avoid crowding multiple coral gobies into the same shelter. These fish can damage living coral tissue through grazing, so monitor the particular coral they occupy. Brown coloration does not identify a single species; confirm the current fish before relying on an adult pattern or planning a pair.
