Anton Brunns Cleaner Shrimp

The Anton Brunns Cleaner Shrimp is a fine-bodied, largely transparent cleaner with contrasting markings and a long rostrum. These shrimp can hover near sheltered rockwork as well as perch on it, creating an unusual display compared with larger, more robust cleaner shrimps.

Provide caves and small retreats within a peaceful marine aquarium. In nature, Bruun's cleaners gather near cleaning stations and take parasites, mucus and food particles associated with visiting fish. An aquarium feeding plan still needs suitable small food particles that reach the shrimp; cleaning opportunities alone are not a complete diet.

Avoid tankmates likely to swallow a delicate shrimp and allow it to approach other animals voluntarily. Its cleaning behavior is interesting natural history, not a guarantee of disease treatment. Handle gently and preserve stable marine water conditions.
