African Queen Coris Wrasse

African Queen Coris Wrasse needs an aquarium planned around an adult fish, with a deep area of suitable sand for burial and secure rockwork. Similar African and queen trade names cover several Coris species, including kinds reported at roughly 60–120 cm (2–4 feet). Confirm the scientific identity and eventual dimensions before choosing its long-term home.

Provide generous swimming space and anchor decorations securely: larger Coris wrasses investigate and overturn loose material while searching for food. Offer a varied marine meaty diet in suitable portions. Shrimps, crabs and other small invertebrates may be treated as prey, so a collection of ornamental crustaceans is a poor match.

Avoid timid companions that could be harassed or excluded from meals, and assess other wrasses carefully. Fit a secure cover around every opening. Juvenile pattern and purchase size give little indication of the space and strength this fish may develop.
