Achilles Tang

The Achilles Tang (Acanthurus achilles) is a Pacific surgeonfish recognised by its dark body and orange marking near the tail. This is a demanding species for experienced marine keepers with a large, established system and substantial open swimming space.

Plan for strong circulation, high oxygen availability, and consistently good water quality before adding an Achilles Tang. Its activity and sensitivity make aquarium layout and system maturity more important than choosing a fish that simply fits the tank today.
