Soft Coral Frags Assorted

Assorted Soft Coral Frags offer a starting point for a reef with fleshy, flexible coral forms. Check the actual coral type before selecting its final position, since an assortment can include animals with different growth habits and space requirements.

Many familiar soft corals do well with moderate lighting and circulation that keeps their surfaces clean. Acclimate each frag gradually and allow room for expansion rather than crowding it among existing colonies. A spreading mat and a tall leather coral need different boundaries even when both are sold as soft corals.

Confirm the selected coral's feeding needs rather than assuming every soft coral is photosynthetic. For common photosynthetic leathers, light provides substantial nutrition and fine suspended particles may supplement it. Plan placement and maintenance around the identified frag, including any tendency to shed surface films or overgrow nearby rock.
