Sigapore Angelfish

The Singapore Angelfish, Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus, is also called the Vermiculated Angelfish. Its contrasting face and finely patterned body can give it a butterflyfish-like appearance, but its feeding and compatibility need to be planned as those of an angelfish.

Use a mature aquarium with room to swim around substantial rockwork. Caves and shaded passages give the fish somewhere to retreat between grazing trips. Similar-looking angelfish can prompt territorial disputes, so assess the existing angel collection before adding another.

Provide varied marine foods, including suitable angelfish preparations, algae and meaty items, in several manageable meals. Confirm dependable feeding during acclimation. This species may investigate or nip sessile invertebrates, so a coral collection requires observation and a practical plan if persistent picking develops.
