Red Polyp Montipora is an SPS coral selection identified in the catalogue by its polyp colour. Its actual growth form should guide placement, with enough space around the colony for future expansion and access to the surface for inspection.

Give it appropriate bright reef lighting after acclimation and water movement that carries debris away. Moderate to strong circulation can work well, but the important result is water reaching all parts of the colony. Check again as the coral grows, since its structure can create new shadows and reduce flow.

The coral relies heavily on photosynthesis and may benefit from very fine suspended foods. Stable reef chemistry remains essential for growth and tissue coverage. Keep it clear of aggressive corals and their sweeper tentacles, rather than relying on a small daytime gap between skeletons.
