Purple Tip Frogspawn Coral has the soft, clustered tentacle tips typical of frogspawn corals. Leave enough open space for the expanded colony to sway without brushing against rock edges or another coral, even if the skeleton fits into a smaller gap.

Introduce it under moderate reef light and make changes in intensity gradually. Indirect, variable circulation should move water across the colony without driving the flesh against its skeletal support. Handle the base carefully and avoid putting pressure on inflated polyps.

Photosynthetic nutrition can be supplemented with small suitable marine foods if the coral accepts them. Do not keep adding food to a polyp that releases it. Frogspawn can sting nearby corals and can also be damaged by torch sweepers, so preserve separation and inspect the arrangement after full expansion.
