Orange Frogspawn

Orange Frogspawn is a fleshy stony coral with the clustered tentacle-tip form characteristic of frogspawn corals. Give its expanded polyps space around the skeleton and choose a mounting point that keeps them clear of neighbouring rock and coral tissue.

Begin in moderate illumination and acclimate slowly to stronger lighting if needed. Variable water movement should pass around the coral and let the polyps move without persistent compression against the skeleton. Avoid abrupt changes while it is finding its normal extension in a new system.

Photosynthesis is a major source of nutrition. Small marine foods can be tried, but frogspawn may reject direct feeding; repeated heavy offerings are unnecessary. Keep surrounding corals outside its stinging reach, and protect the frogspawn from nearby torch corals rather than assuming related-looking LPS can safely touch.
