Oatey Purple Primer prepares compatible PVC and CPVC pipe and fitting surfaces before solvent cementing. Its purple tint makes the treated area visible, while the primer softens the surface for the subsequent joint. This listing is the 118 ml Canadian package.
Primer alone does not bond a joint. Use the appropriate cement and follow the complete preparation, assembly, and curing procedure for the piping system. Protect nearby finished surfaces from staining.
Keep the product away from aquarium water and livestock, work with ventilation, and follow the label's handling precautions. Complete curing and leak checks before putting repaired plumbing back into service.
