Green Lobo

Green Lobo is a Lobophyllia-type coral with a broad, fleshy profile that can become a focus of a lower reef area. Choose its position with the inflated tissue in mind, leaving room beside and above the skeleton rather than packing it into a narrow opening.

Use moderate illumination and water movement that carries debris away without forcing the lobes against hard surfaces. Direct, forceful flow can damage the tissue over the skeleton. Allow time for acclimation before changing its lighting or moving the coral again.

Small pieces of suitable marine food can supplement the energy supplied by its symbiotic algae. Let the coral ingest each portion before adding more. Its tentacles can sting neighbouring corals, so maintain a gap and inspect the layout as surrounding colonies grow toward it.
