Flo Swing Check Valve

A swing check valve allows water to travel in the intended direction and closes against reverse flow. These PVC socket-connected options fit 3/4-inch or 1-inch nominal pipe and can be incorporated into aquarium plumbing where limiting backflow is part of the design.

Install the valve in the permitted orientation with its flow marking pointing the correct way. Leave access for inspection and cleaning; debris or deposits on the sealing surface can prevent complete closure.

A check valve should not be the only protection against an overflowing sump. Provide sufficient free capacity for drain-back and test the system with the return pump switched off. Repeat that check after changing the plumbing or operating water level.
