Fire Ball Goniopora is listed as a long-polyp flowerpot coral. Plan an open footprint around it so the extended polyps can move without brushing rockwork or neighbouring colonies; a tight gap that accommodates only the skeleton is unsuitable.

Moderate initial light and variable flow across the colony provide a sensible starting point. Check that nearby pumps move water through the display without pinning the polyps against an obstruction. Give it time to adjust before making another placement or lighting change.

Very small zooplankton foods supplement its photosynthetic energy supply. Watch for individual feeding responses and avoid accumulating excess food around the base. Goniopora needs ongoing attention after its first successful expansion, with regular observation of tissue condition and nutrition. It is best approached as a demanding long-term reef animal rather than an effortless decorative addition.
