The Aquatop 1-inch Standard Airstone connects to aquarium airline tubing to diffuse air from a separate pump. The rising bubbles help move water at the surface, supporting gas exchange in freshwater or marine aquarium setups.

Position the stone where the bubble stream can rise freely and where it will remain accessible for cleaning. An air stone does not operate by itself: it needs suitable tubing, an air pump, and the pump's recommended protection against back-siphoning.

Check the bubble pattern and airflow during routine maintenance. Debris or mineral buildup can reduce output, so clean or replace a restricted stone as appropriate. Aeration supports oxygen exchange but does not replace biological filtration or removal of accumulated waste.
