Blenny

Blennies offer a wide range of behaviour, from perching grazers to more active fish with different feeding requirements. Start with the exact species rather than assuming every blenny will remove algae or live on the same diet.

For grazing species, mature rock surfaces and accepted algae-based foods help support long-term condition. Give perching fish suitable holes and retreats, and check whether other residents compete for the same space. Natural growth can fluctuate in a clean aquarium, so observe the fish's body condition and its response to supplemental meals.
