Choosing Anthias
Anthias are often associated with colourful groups feeding in moving water, but their social habits and confidence vary. More open-water species and shelter-oriented fish such as the Sunburst Anthias should not automatically receive the same group arrangement.
Plan for repeated portions of small marine meaty foods and confirm that each fish eats. Rock retreats give subordinate or shy animals places to withdraw, while suitable circulation brings food within reach. Check species-specific group and sex recommendations before combining individuals; persistent chasing or missed meals can undermine an otherwise attractive display.
